Friday and Saturday saw the inaugural CURTC 70+ category tournament taking place at the Home of Real Tennis. Open to anyone with a handicap over 70, a lot of very close games ensued. Congratulations to all the participants with particular mention to Krittika D’Silva who won the Friday night group in which 3 of the 4 matches ended 8-7! and our 4 semi-finalists in Gillian Moore, Ben Geytenbeek, Matthew Johnson and Helena Tunks. Helena and Matthew prevailed in their Semis and will meet on CURTC Finals Day (sponsored by Hannay-Robertson Financial Planning), Saturday March 17th, when the CURTC Ladies Championship and all the Category Tournament Finals will be decided.
