Nine of Leamington’s finest made the trip to CURTC last Saturday in some style (see below). Tennis wise, the hosts got off to a flier as I managed to lose both my matches by just gone midday although to be fair the Doubles did go to a final game. Fortunately CURTC’s finest did not follow my lead as everyone else managed to wine at least one of their two matches.
Leamington took the First Doubles with their consistency just about wearing down Jin and Andy’s stroke play. CURTC’s middle order proved solid with Leandros winning both his matches including a highly entertaining match with Colin Murray and Barnaby proving too much for Ian Calvert in both Singles and Doubles.
